Jesus is the Reason for the Season

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:10-12 (NIV)

The Christmas Story… The story with the greatest importance of all, yet it is somehow often forgotten amidst the many other Christmas traditions and stories. I encourage you all to not lose sight of what Christmas is really about.

On December 25th, we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The one who saved us from sin and death. His birth marks the first sacrifice of many to come as He later bore ALL of our sins on the cross. Luke 2 tells the beautiful story of the birth of Jesus, and I encourage you all to read this chapter this week ❤

Celebrating the birth and life of Jesus should be done year-round, but it is especially important on Christmas! So… here’s a reminder that Jesus’s birth is the reason we celebrate Christmas!! Don’t lose sight of this beautiful blessing!
